Most require visa Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines these countries you can get visa on arrival. India must get visa before entering country at any India Embassy. must leave passport with them or if you were to send it invisas:
Most parts of S. E. Asia have visa on arrival. Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Philippines and Indonesia. Just remember that some countries have a Exit Tax. Indonesia has an exit tax of 150,000 IDR also visa on arrival is 25 usd. or in your own currency. Philippines has an Exit Tax I am not Sure the cost so ask when there.. India requires a visa before traveling to it's country, that must get from India council/ Embassy weather in your area or abroad. Countries that provide Visa on arrival you will get visa cards on the plane going to your destination usually last leg of flight they hand them out and also duty cards if claiming anything into that country. filling out visa on arrival card is easy just name and where your staying passport number where it was issued etc. fill out as soon as you get it otherwise you may forget and you'll be rushing to get it done, also they have with it a departure section fill it out as well and you MUST KEEP IT with your Passport so you don't loose it they stamp that as well so you can't fill out another. It gets handed back when you leave. DON'T LOOSE IT.customs is easy just go into the foreigner line wait your turn hand them card and passport . they will stamp it look at you and say welcome then your on your way get your luggage. Once you have Visa you can travel through out that country. Visa on arrivals usually have a 30 day visa restriction. if you want to stay longer you could leave country and come right back in filling out all forms again for another 30 days when coming back in through border area. or if you had gone to visit another country and wanted to come back in.
taxi vs tuk tuk:
Taxi is usually for long distance. Tuk tuk's are for shorter distances. some local drivers of taxi will sometimes tell you best to take tuk tuk ( a three wheeled motorized rickshaw ). these are fun to ride in except if its raining, even with them having roofs. For me I never haggle on taxi. I always use meter I found it is the best way. If you try and Haggle you will usually loose out. tuk tuk you can haggle price. I always take the orange color taxi green I don't care much for I think nicer people in the orange taxi.
